Dr. Jim Altizer is a theologian & musician who has a doctorate in Worship Studies, a Masters in Music Education, and a Bachelors in Trumpet Performance.

He served the Church for over twenty years as a director of worship.
Concurrently, he was a professional trumpet player, performing in both the Baroque and Commercial arenas.

In addition to this website, he has a robust educational YouTube Channel, 35 SoundCloud devotionals, and has released six albums of music. Dr. Altizer has written four books, produced a video curriculum entitled “Exploring Worship,” and has released many other resources.

He leads and teaches at conferences both nationally and internationally, and has taught in the Masters & Doctoral programs at Azusa Pacific Seminary.

Married for 44 years, he has 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren. He loves his wife, teaching people about Jesus, traveling, hiking, fishing, horses, art, and volunteering for the National Park Syste
